The Center for Research in Advanced Technologies for Education (CREATE @ Amrita) will be conducting the INSPIRE SCIENCE CAMP for class XI, XII students under the guidance of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt of India, from May 18th to 22nd 2012, at Amrita University, Amritapuri Campus, Amritapuri. Your top science students will get a unique opportunity to learn from and interact eminent scientists and mentors through lectures, projects, competitions and lab visits.

“Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research” (INSPIRE) is an innovative programme launched by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for attraction of talent to science. The main objective of INSPIRE is to communicate to the young students of the country the excitement of the creative pursuit of science and to attract talent to the study of science at an early stage.

The Center for Research in Advanced Technologies for Education (CREATE) is an educational technology initiative pioneered by Amrita University. CREATE @ AMRITA applies innovative digital solutions to provide accessible and affordable educational technologies for all. We aim to improve the quality of education for all with innovative solutions that integrate research and practice.
Today, the center is funded primarily by research grants from NME ICT, MHRD; Department of IT, MCIT; HP Global Social Innovation etc. which contributes around 80 per cent of our funding.

How to Apply
Plus one and Plus two science students can apply in the prescribed registration form which is available with your Principal’s office.

Duly filled application form countersigned by the principal of the respective school in which the applicant is studying in 11 or 12 STD, along with the attested copy of the class 10 mark statement should be submitted to:

Students of class 11 and 12 in the science stream are eligible to participate in this programme. The selection of the students will be based on the top 1% performers in class 10 board examinations and pursuing science at class 11 and class 12.
Cut off Percentage in Class 10
NB: Students who have previously participated in DST’s camp will not be eligible to attend this program
The camp is funded by DST INSPIRE programme and is completely free to students. Participating students will be provided with free transportation (pick up and drop off from your school), free accommodation (Hostel facility available to university campus), and food (Breakfast, meals, tea and dinner).
